In Relax’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, we are pleased to announce a transformation in our packaging processes. From this year onwards, we will switch from using traditional polystyrene to innovative honeycomb cardboard packaging for our products.
This change is a tangible commitment to protecting the environment and reducing our ecological footprint. Styrofoam, although widely used in the packaging industry for its light weight and convenience, is notoriously harmful to the environment. Its decomposition is extremely slow and contributes significantly to the growing plastic waste crisis plaguing our planet. Recognizing our responsibility as a company, we have decided to act proactively to adopt more sustainable alternatives.
Honeycomb cardboard has proven to be the ideal choice for several reasons. First of all, it is an ecological and 100% recyclable material. This means that not only will we drastically reduce our environmental impact, but also that our customers will be able to easily recycle our packaging without compromising the health of the planet. Secondly, honeycomb cardboard offers greater resistance than polystyrene. Thanks to its structure, it is able to absorb shocks and protect Relax products during transport, ensuring that they arrive in optimal conditions.
Looking ahead, we are committed to continuing to look for innovative ways to improve the sustainability of our products and processes.
